EXPECTATIONS/COMMITMENT

As coaches, we will do our best to ensure each student-athlete has a safe, fun, and educational experience.
When you enroll your child to participate in a team, both you and your child are making a commitment to his/her teammates and to the entire team.
It is imperative to be present and punctual at all practices.
Presence and effort at practice, which will be noted regularly by coaches, will determine both the quality of the athlete’s overall experience on the team, as well as playing time during games. Additionally, when a grade has two teams, a student’s selection on the team is determined by the coach’s evaluation of where that student’s participation will most greatly benefit his/her development as an athlete in that sport.
Students who do not attend school on game days will not be allowed to participate in games.
Students who do not participate in Physical Education (PE) classes on game or practice days are also ineligible to play/practice.
Academic and disciplinary conduct is a factor in determining eligibility for participation.
All Athletes MUST show respect to teammates, opponent team, referees and coaches.
If during a game an athlete is removed by the official or the coach, also during practices for unsportsmanlike conduct. Will result in one (1) game suspension.
Must be in the gym/field/court 10 minutes prior to practice and ready for practice. 15 minutes prior to the game schedule. Failure to be on time will have a direct effect on the playing time of the athlete during the game.
ALL Basketball athletes must have their practice jerseys with them during practices.
Must work cooperatively together with teammates and NEVER put/look down at a teammate due to their skill.
Use equipment and school property appropriately.
ALL athletes are responsible for any assignments missed during away games (test, quiz, homework, presentation, etc.)
NO CELL PHONES/electronic devices will be allowed during practices or games.
Suspension from school: Cannot practice/play until suspension is over. A second suspension might result in removal from the team.
