GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

Students must complete the following graduation requirements before receiving a high school diploma.

  1. Students must demonstrate
    1. functional literacy in the English and Armenian languages,
    2. knowledge of United States history, including concepts and processes of    democratic government,
    3. knowledge of history, culture, and traditions of the Armenian people and their struggle for self-preservation in Diaspora, self-determination on their ancestral homelands, and full independence.
  1. Students must achieve a minimum of a 2.0 grade point average (GPA) and pass all courses taken during the senior year.
  1. Students must not have “F” grades in any high school course. All “F” graded courses should have been replaced with courses “C” or better taken through evening/summer schools.
  1. Students must complete a minimum of 260 units. For a complete list of units, please check “Graduation Subject Requirements” section. Students do not receive credit if they fail a course and accordingly graduation requirements are not fulfilled.

It is the student’s responsibility to fulfill the above listed conditions before the commencement. Otherwise, diploma will be granted whenever these conditions are met.
