EXAM REGULATIONS

All mid-year and final exams for grades 6-12 are administered in the school Avedissian Hall.  The following are important procedures and disciplinary guidelines that students must adhere to during the exams:

  1. Students must first gather outside the Avedissian Hall and form grade-level lines. 
  1. At 8:00 a.m., the first bell rings followed by the second bell at 8:05 a.m.  Students must be ready to proceed to the hall to occupy their pre-assigned seats. 
  1. Absolute silence in the examination hall and during administration of the exams is mandatory.  Any disturbance or any attempt by a student to disturb the course of the exam will result in the removal of the student from the hall and an "F" grade in that particular exam.
  1. Seats are arranged in 10 columns that are indicated by capital letters A-J.   Seats within a column are numbered sequentially 1 through 30.  Therefore, seats are identified as A-5 (Column A, Row 5,) D-22 (Column D, Row 22), etc.
  1. Students of the same grade level occupy alternate seats.
  1. Each student occupies the same seat throughout the duration of the exams.
  1. Students get their seat numbers prior to the exams from their first period teachers.  
  1. Students cannot take books or notes to the exam hall.
  1. Students must remain seated until the answer sheets or examination booklets are collected. 
  1. Students must stay in the exam hall during the first hour of the examination period.  After the first hour students who need to leave the hall, must proceed toward the cafeteria area and wait until the end of the period. 
  1. Examination periods are not extended.
  1. Students may go to their lockers only during the break between the exams and after 12:00 noon.
  1. Students who are not in school uniform will not be allowed to taknt size="3">Students who are not in school uniform will not be allowed to take the exams.
  1. Calculators are allowed only by the permission of the course instructor.
  1. All school disciplinary policies and regulations will be strictly enforced during exams.
