This year, Student Council helped to facilitate the Character Education assembly at Holy Martyrs Ferrahian Armenian High School.
In an effort to promote the use of positive language, Nareg Kuyumjian and Galy Kouyoumjian opened the assembly by reminding everyone that we should use language to our advantage rather than using it as a tool to hurt others.
The program included readings of students’ original writing, student produced public service announcements, and a soliloquy recitation.
All of the students’ work reinforced the importance of upstanding character. To further celebrate exemplary character, some students were honored with certificates and monetary awards for demonstrating exceptionally outstanding behavior, while others were awarded for written texts on the topic of character.
Congratulations to all of the participants and award recipients at this year’s assembly.
